Privacy Principles

Our mission at juli is to use data, artificial intelligence and community to guide and empower people with chronic conditions to get better and stay well. 

User’s privacy and the security of their data are extremely important to us. To be transparent, we want them to understand how we use, collect and share their personal and health data, and how we design all our products to protect them. We continually evaluate our internal processes and privacy practices to align them with applicable privacy laws and other relevant legislation. juli Users Control their Personal Data

 

Users should be in control of their personal and health data, therefore:

  • If they would like to access or rectify their personal data, or have it deleted, we provide it whenever possible.

  • In our Privacy Policy we have listed in detail how we use user data and with whom we share it and for what reason. We do not share user data with anyone else unless they ask us to or give us explicit consent to do so. For instance, it is possible to share their data with their doctor or care giver, but they decide whether they would like to share, when to share and what to share.

juli Employees only Access a User’s Personal Data when Required to Provide Services and Support

 

No employee at juli is allowed to access user data without an urgent and explicit business need to do so. In accordance with our Privacy Policy:

  • juli services representatives, management, data scientists and technical team members are not permitted to access user personal data without a legitimate business need.

  • User’s Health data is not accessible by anyone except for technical members working on the storage. Technical members work according to an additional access policy to handle sensitive data.

  • Access to any data is maintained in an audit log.

  • We evaluate data access logs regularly and investigate if we detect an anomaly for data access.

juli does NOT Sell User Personal or Health Data

 

Our product uses data to improve health and wellbeing, we do not harvest data for sales. We do use anonymised aggregates of our data and might provide paid services based on these aggregates, but users personal information will not be sold. We do use third party cookies and other tracking technologies.

juli uses Aggregated or De-Identified Data to Better Understand Chronic Conditions and our Users’ Wellbeing

 

juli users collect a vast amount of accurate physiological, behavioral and psychological data. This includes mood assessments, scientific questionnaires, heart rate, sleep duration, blood oxygen saturation levels, respiratory information, activity data as well as additional information users choose to share with us from the juli App (“health data”).

We use aggregated or de-identified health data that no longer identifies a particular user (and is thus no longer considered personal data) to help answer important questions about health status, chronic condition symptoms, health improvements and helps us to find improvements to a user’s wellbeing. We see it as our obligation to share relevant findings and insights so others can be helped by them.

We know privacy and security are important to you too. We at juli will continue to develop our products and services to help you improve your wellbeing. We will continue to be transparent about how we do this and how we use your data and information.
